Cavs Sign Anthony Parker, WTF?

Either the Cav's are crazy, or they are looking at having a shitload of cash for the 2011/12 season by signing these old skool players. While Parker is solid, I don't see him been a difference maker in this team.We all saw what happended to Ol Mo' in the playoffs and great help the rest of the team was to the King against the Magic.

While Shaq is in the twilight of his career, he will occasionally command double teams which will help Mr Crab Dribble in freeing up space to crab dribble and dunk. I really see Parker in the same mould as Tarence Kinsey without the jump shot, Kinsey that is. They should have signed and traded for Hidayet "Hedo" Türkoğlu.

While I am always weary of the end of contract-great season/great playoffs-phenomenon, where a player has a crazy season/playoff series at an end of contract to hit massive pay dirt but peters out the following seasons (See Jerome James 2004-05 Playoffs , Bobby Simmons 2004-05 Season etc), I think Hedo is too proud of a dude to short change anyone. I don't know how the Cavs would have done it.

Maybe for walking specialist Ilgauskas and front loading Hedo's contract to match salaries,the bonus been Magic won't have to pay the silly money they paid for Magic Marcin (thanks J.E Skeets off Yahoo Sports for the great name!).

Fuck sentiments but this basketball thing is about winning championships and you need to have the best team on the floor to win(see how the Spurs got rid of wanna break your face Bruce Bowen).
